Burglaries in South Bucks

Dear NHW Coordinators

We are aware that there have been a number of Residential burglaries in the South Bucks area, which includes Seer Green, Amersham, Chesham Bois and Chalfont St Giles.

We suspect that the offences are linked and have been taking place late evening though to the early hours of the morning between the dates of 2nd August 2025 and the 3rd August 2025. The offenders are suspected to be using a tool to pry open doors or windows and have been targeting Jewellery, in particular watches.  

A possible linked vehicle is a Light Blue or Silver Vauxhall Astra on cloned plates. Currently it is displaying a 17 Plate.

We would like to remind residents to remember home security and always consider ways to make their homes less desirable to offenders such as installing working CCTV cameras and burglar alarms. These items are widely regarded as valuable additions to home security. Many CCTV cameras can be remotely viewed whilst occupants are away from their homes and a notification is sent to the resident if the system activates the motion sensor. 

Although security is important, we do recognise that our communities can be our greatest asset in combatting burglary offences. Should a vehicle matching the detail above be seen acting in suspicious circumstances, please do call 999.
